Eva Bashuk (née Yaceyko; formerly Marceniuk) was a Canadian supercentenarian.

BIOGRAPHY

Eva Bashuk was born in Alberta, Canada on 14 November 1906, to parents Wasyl (William) and Polferia Yaceyko. She had five sisters (Mary, Annie, Theresa, Nellie, and Rose), and four brothers (Andrew, John, Harry. and Metro). Her parents immigrated from Ukraine to Canada in 1905, settling as homesteaders in the Stry, Alberta area.

She was married twice—first to Harry Marceniuk and later to Steve Bashuk. She had five children: three daughters, Anne Emsky, Olga Haydak, and Elizabeth Jones, and two sons, Walter Marceniuk and William Marceniuk.

Eva Bashuk passed away in Vilna, Alberta, Canada, on 14 February 2017, at the age of 110 years, 92 days. She was survived by her five children, as well as 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great-grandchildren, as well as her brother, Metro Yaceyko, and her sister, Rose Moyer (23 February 1921 – 18 May 2023).
