Eugénie Grandvaux was a French supercentenarian.
Eugénie Grandvaux was born in the commune of Lons-le-Saunier, the capital of the Jura Department, eastern France, on 19 October 1906. She spent her entire life in her birthplace. Her father was Auguste Dupouy (1866–1929), and her mother, Marie-Louise, born in Louverot, lived in Lons-le-Saunier from her marriage in 1903 until her passing in 1942.
She diligently maintained her garden until the age of 95, but a fractured femoral neck forced her to stop.
To celebrate her 110th birthday, her family—around thirty members—gathered for a meal at a restaurant. Later, a small celebration was held at the long-term care home La Vallière in Lons-le-Saunier. At the time, she had great-great-grandchildren.
Eugénie Grandvaux passed away in Lons-le-Saunier, on 4 November 2016, at the age of 110 years, 16 days.
Her age was validated by the European Supercentenarian Organisation on 14 August 2023. This validation is yet to be recognized by LongeviQuest.
