Ethel Annie Ella Fech (née Yaros) was an American supercentenarian whose age has been validated by LongeviQuest.

BIOGRAPHY

Fech was born as Ethel Annie Ella Yaros in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, USA, on 30 July 1906. She was the third of nine children born to parents Wendel Yaros and Josephine Dedinsky, both immigrants from Hungary

At some point, she married John G. Fech. The couple had two children, a daughter (Janice) and an infant son (Dennis) who died in 1947. The couple was married for over 70 years until her husband’s passing on 16 December 1999. She was a life-long member of Most Holy Name of Jesus Parish in Perth Amboy.

Fech passed away in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, USA, on 2 March 2018, at the age of 111 years, 215 days.

RECOGNITION

On 5 February 2017, following the death of 114-year-old Adele Dunlap, she became the oldest (known) living person in the U.S. state of New Jersey. She was succeeded by Helen Turner.
