Emma Aurélia Grivalliers (née Chevalier) is a French supercentenarian from the overseas department of Martinique. Her age was verified by the members of Les Grands Centenaires Français.
BIOGRAPHY
Emma Grivalliers was born on 9 July 1915, the youngest of seven children. She is affectionately nicknamed “Man Yaya.” At a very young age, she began her working life in the pineapple fields.
Emma wasn’t the first in her family to reach the age of 100—her mother, Isabelle Florent, lived to be 103. Emma began her working life at the age of 20, employed on the pineapple plantations of the Nouvelle Cité estate. She had seven children, including three boys and four girls.
RECOGNITION
Her age was verified by Guillaume Legris (Les Grands Centenaires Français), and validated by LongeviQuest on 30 August 2025. The validation report was prepared by Marco Wikkerink.
