Elvira Helaire-Davis is an American supercentenarian.
Elvira Helaire-Davis was born in Natchitoches Parish, Louisiana, USA, on 21 July 1915, to the sharecropper parents Felix Helaire and Martha Hamilton. She was the third of eight siblings, raised in one of the tenant cabins along the Cane River, on the same land where her parents and grandparents had been born and lived.
She married Lawrence Davis, and together they shared nearly 62 years of marriage, raising 14 children. In 1963, they moved to Shreveport, where she would remain well into her later years.
In August 2020, Elvira was awarded an honorary high school diploma by the Louisiana Department of Education. The diploma was presented by Caddo Parish Superintendent Dr. Lamar Goree and Dr. Thomas Roque of the Board of Elementary and Secondary Education, making her the oldest high school graduate in Caddo Parish history.
Her age was verified by Eli Logan, and validated by LongeviQuest on 26 July 2025.
