Elizabeth Philippina van Boven-Smaal

BIOGRAPHY

Elizabeth Philippina van Boven-Smaal was born in the Netherlands on 5 January 1915.

On her 109th birthday, Acting Mayor Cor Lamers was unable to visit due to illness but made the visit a week later, on January 12. For her 110th birthday, she was visited by Mayor Joost Manusama, and together they raised a celebratory toast.

RECOGNITION

Her age was verified by Gert Jan Kuiper and Marco Wikkerink, and validated by the European Supercentenarian Organisation (ESO) on 1 February 2025.
