Elisabeth Kimoff was a Macedonian-born Canadian supercentenarian.

BIOGRAPHY

Elisabeth Kimoff was born in Kolešino, Novo Selo Municipality, North Macedonia (then Ottoman Empire) on 20 November 1904. She moved to Canada in 1923 from her village, accompanied by her brother. She was eighteen at the time. After settling in Toronto and becoming part of the growing Macedonian community, she began working as a finisher of men’s suits—her first job in her new country.

In 1926, she married Slavcho Kimoff. The couple initially lived in a shared house before moving into an apartment, where they welcomed their first son, Richard. Later, they had a second son, William.

Even in her later years, she remained remarkably disciplined, particularly when it came to her diet and her strong Christian faith. She did not watch television but found joy in listening to hymns and taught herself English by diligently consulting a dictionary.

Elisabeth Kimoff passed away in Toronto, on 15 October 2015, at the age of 110 years, 329 days.
