Edith Hammond

BIOGRAPHY

Edith Dara Hammond was born in Indiana, USA on 3 October 1890. She was the only daughter born to her parents, and had five older brothers. She never married or had children, and cared for her parents until their deaths.

At some point in her life, she moved to Pasadena, California, where she worked as a secretary for Ives, Kirwan & Dibble. When she was in her mid 80s, she moved to Yucaipa, where she would remain for the rest of her life. In her later years, she was a resident at Braswell’s Mediterranean Gardens.

She passed away in Yucaipa, California, USA, at Braswell’s Mediterranean Gardens, on 20 November 2000, aged 110.
