Dorina Cecotti is an Italian supercentenarian whose age has been validated by the European Supercentenarian Organisation, and recognized by LongeviQuest.

BIOGRAPHY

Dorina Cecotti was born in Campoformido, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Italy, on 7 November 1915. When she became a widow at just 35, she was forced to enter the workforce, working as a seamstress to support both herself and her only son, Attilio.

According to her grandson, her secret to longevity was a balanced diet, plenty of time spent outdoors, and maintaining her independence well into extreme old age. Even at 109, she continued to actively follow politics — watching the news every day and reading the newspaper without fail.

On her 110th birthday, a major celebration was held for her in Martignacco. The event was also attended by the Deputy Mayor of Udine, Alessandro Venanzi, the Mayor of Pasian di Prato, Juli Peressini, and the Councilor of Martignacco, Valentina Bordet.

RECOGNITION

Her age was validated by Paolo Scarabaggio of the European Supercentenarian Organisation on 1 February 2026, and recognized by LongeviQuest on 14 February 2026.
