Dolors Moret Ferriol was a Spanish supercentenarian.
Dolors Moret Ferriol was born in Begur, Catalonia, Spain, on 10 January 1907. She worked as a telephone operator from the age of 13 until her retirement in 1972.
She was widowed by her first husband, Martí Platja Congost, with whom she had a son, Pere Platja Moret. With her second husband, Ricard Isern Sau, she had twins, Dolors and Ricard Isern.
In addition to her job as a telephone operator, she ran a shop and rented rooms to the first tourists on the Costa Brava. She would take the public bus to buy groceries and sell milk, homemade chocolates, pasta, socks, and even berets. She never had a driver’s license and never considered getting one. In her 80s, she moved to Palamós to live with her son Ricard.
Dolors Moret Ferriol passed away in Palamós, Catalonia, on 17 March 2018, at the age of 111 years, 66 days.
