BIOGRAPHY

Chiyo Fukagawa (深川チヨ) was born on 5 June 1901 in Japan.

At the age of 110, she was hard of hearing but still mentally sharp. From 2012 onwards, she was reported as the oldest resident of Kamakura. She was last confirmed alive in February 2015 at the age of 113, which would make her the third-oldest person in Kanagawa Prefecture behind Kiyoko Ishiguro and Chiyo Miyako.
