Chiku Matsumoto was born in Japan on 5 February 1904.

Chiku Matsumoto passed away in Ōno, Fukui Prefecture, Japan, on 27 May 2015, at the age of 111 years, 111 days.

RECOGNITION

On 13 May 2015, following the death of 112-year-old Tsuhi Hori, she became the oldest living person in Fukui Prefecture.

Upon her death, Yoshiko Ito became the oldest living person in Fukui Prefecture.
