Carlota dos Anjos Guerra was born in the village of Travanca, Macedo de Cavaleiros Municipality, Bragança District, Portugal, on 9 October 1911.
In 2007, she moved to the nursing home of Misericórdia Macedo de Cavaleiros, where she resided until her own death.
Carlota dos Anjos Guerra passed away in Macedo de Cavaleiros, Bragança District, Portugal, on 10 October 2021, one day after her 110th birthday.
RECOGNITION
Coincidentally, she was born on the same day as another Portuguese supercentenarian, Olinda Paulo Baeta. They are the first pair of Portuguese supercentenarians who were born on the same day.
At the time of death, she was the oldest living person in Bragança District.
Her age was verified by Gabriel Lemos, and validated by the ESO on 19 June 2023.
