Camilla “Millie” Mary Campau (née Schmidt) was an American supercentenarian whose age has been validated by LongeviQuest.

BIOGRAPHY

Camilla Campau was born in Detroit, Michigan, on 5 October 1913, to Joseph and Anna Schmidt. She had six siblings: Vincent, Cyril, Bernadette Harrandine, Rosamond Robinson, Gerald, and Martin. At the age of 15, she left home to join the nuns at “The Convent” at St. Paul on the Lake.

Campau later married Edwin J. Campau (1903–1983) and lived in Grosse Pointe Farms, next door to her mother-in-law. At that time, the Campau family owned all the land in St. Clair Shores, now known as Chapoton Woods. During the Great Depression, the family allowed the “worthless” land to revert back to the state.

Campau passed away on 18 June 2025 in St. Clair Shores, Michigan, United States, at the age of 111 years, 256 days.

RECOGNITION

Her age was verified by Fabrizio Villatoro, and validated by LongeviQuest on 12 October 2024.
