Beulah Meloche was born in Chazy, New York, USA, on 5 December 1906 (claimed 23 November). Her parents were Nelson Barnaby (1879–1961) and Mary Elizabeth “Libby” Gilman (1883–1962). She had three sisters: Edith Manor (1905–1956), Matilda Margaret Neddo (1908–1982), and Mabel Gonyo (1910–1961). She grew up in Plattsburgh and later moved to Lisbon, where she lived with the O’Brian family for 10 years.
At some point, she married Armand J. Meloche (1911–1972).
At the age of 104, she moved into the United Helpers RiverLedge Nursing Home in Ogdensburg, where she passed away on 27 October 2020, at the age of 113 years, 327 days.
Her age was validated by the GRG on 21 March 2019. The validation was later recognized by LongeviQuest.
On 23 November 2019, she became the oldest living person in the state of New York, following the death of 114 year-old Alelia Murphy. Upon her own passing, she was succeeded by Nicolina Accinni.
