Auretta Franceschi is an Italian supercentenarian.
BIOGRAPHY
Auretta Franceschi was born in Lucca, Tuscany, Italy, on 1 August 1915.
She worked as a midwife. After graduating in Pisa in 1942, she traveled to Zagreb (in present-day Croatia) to work as a refugee in what was then Yugoslavia. Ten years later, after obtaining her condotta (license to practice), she returned to Tuscany, where she remained until 1980. That year, having purchased a house on the same main street where she had spent her childhood, she chose to return to Viareggio.
Auretta Franceschi passed away in Viareggio, Tuscany, on 3 April 2026, at the age of 110 years, 245 days.
