Ascensión Capilla Rodríguez was a Spanish supercentenarian who was one of the oldest living people in Spain.

Ascensión Capilla Rodríguez was born in Cabeza del Buey, Badajoz, Extremadura, Spain, on 14 July 1914. She did not marry but had a child. She was affectionately known by her family as “La Chonita.”
At the age of 110, she was reported to suffer from senile dementia and lived in a nursing home in Madrid, where she was given a doll as a form of therapy to help keep her calm.
Ascensión Capilla Rodríguez passed away in Madrid, Spain, on 8 March 2026, at the age of 111 years, 237 days.
On 29 October 2025, following the passing of Luis Carrasco-Muñoz y Pérez de la Isla, she became the oldest known living person in the Community of Madrid.
