BIOGRAPHY
Arthur Aspinall was born in Bolton, Greater Manchester, England, United Kingdom, on 13 October 1916, to parents Fred (1887–1975) and Lily (1891–1989). His father ran a forging business, manufacturing bolts and other fasteners for the trade. By the time Arthur turned fourteen, he was already working in the family firm, learning its operations inside and out. At sixteen, his father promoted him to foreman.
In 1944, he married Constance Nellie Cheadle. They were married for 19 years until she passed away in November 1963, aged 45. They had two children, Heather (1945–2025) and Marcus.
He passed away on 1 June 2026 in Bolton, Greater Manchester, England, United Kingdom, at the age of 109 years, 231 days.
