Antonia Maria D’Aguanno was an Italian supercentenarian.
Antonia Maria D’Aguanno was born in Villa Santa Lucia, Lazio, Italy, on 2 February 1908. She married at 16 and eventually had five children. During World War II, in 1944, she tragically lost her husband, Bernardo Evangelista, who was a bersagliere. She spent most of her life working in the fields and managing the family farm, continuing this work until she was nearly 100 years old.
At 107, she had four surviving children, as one of her daughters had passed away a year and a half earlier. Her family also included nine grandchildren and around twenty great-grandchildren. Reflecting on the changes she had witnessed, she remarked, “Today, the world has changed; it’s not like it used to be. There’s more wickedness, true values have weakened, and young people have few certainties.”
Antonia Maria D’Aguanno passed away in Pignataro Interamna, Lazio, on 19 July 2018, at the age of 110 years, 167 days.
Her age has not been validated.
