BIOGRAPHY

Antonia Manzi was born in Terracina, Lazio, Italy on 20 February 1912. She worked as a jeweler for nearly 70 years, establishing a business in Terracina that was later managed by her family.

Antonia Manzi passed away in Terracina, Lazio, Italy, on 4 March 2024, at the age of 112 years, 13 days. She was survived by four daughters, 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

RECOGNITION

On 16 December 2021, following the passing of 110-year-old Anna Noce, she became the oldest (known) living person in the region of Lazio.

Her age was verified by Paolo Scarabaggio, and validated by the ESO on 8 June 2022.

Upon her passing, Anna La Morgia succeeded her as the oldest living person in Lazio.

At the time of her passing, she was the 5th-oldest living person in Italy, after Claudia Baccarini, Lucia Laura Sangenito, Ines Sommovigo, and Francesca Fioriglio.
