BIOGRAPHY
Antoinette Bermond was born in Nice, Alpes-Maritimes, Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, France on 9 May 1912. At some point, she got married and had children: Geneviève, Philippe and Claudine. She worked for 23 years as an employee of a men’s tailor.
At 107 years old, she lived at the Les Paillons elderly care residence (EPHAD) in Drap. Since she loved chocolate, roses, and gardening, she was gifted a chocolate flower on her 107th birthday. On her 110th birthday, the mayor of Drap, Robert Nardelli, along with other local officials, visited to pay tribute to her. He presented her with a chocolate sculpture, which she enjoyed with her friends and large family. At the time, she was a great-great-grandmother.
Antoinette Bermond passed away in Drap, Alpes-Maritimes, Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, France, on 3 April 2023, at the age of 110 years, 329 days.
RECOGNITION
Her age was verified by Guillaume Legris of Les Grands Centenaires Français, and validated by the European Supercentenarian Organisation on 5 January 2026, and later recognized by LongeviQuest on 8 February 2026.
