RECOGNITION

Following the passing of Tomisaburō Wakui on 5 July 2024, the anonymous man became the oldest living man in Japan, at the age of 110 years, 164 days. Upon his passing, he was succeeded by Kiyotaka Mizuno.

His age was verified by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare (MHLW), as well as Yumi Yamamoto and Ryohei Asano, and validated by LongeviQuest on 2 September 2024.
