Anne-Marie Masse was a French nun and supercentenarian.
Anne-Marie Masse was born in France on 21 July 1909. After studying music at the Conservatory of Toulouse, she dedicated her life to teaching both within her community and beyond. For many years, she led APEMEC (the Association of Teachers of Musical Education in Catholic Schools), where she championed active pedagogy in this traditional field of education.
When asked about the secret to her longevity, she attributed it to the joy of living and her devotion to praising God.
Anne-Marie Masse passed away in Orléans, Loiret, Centre-Val de Loire, France, on 24 September 2021, at the age of 112 years, 65 days.
After the death of 111-year-old Odile de Plunkett, who was also a nun and lived in the same location, on 15 November 2020, Masse became the oldest known living person in Centre-Val de Loire.
