Angela Case was an Italian supercentenarian. Her age has been validated by the European Supercentenarian Organisation (ESO).
Angela Case was born in Castelfranco Veneto, Veneto, Italy, on 21 July 1899. She was forced to leave her hometown at the young age of 18, in 1917, following the defeat at Caporetto. She sought refuge in Puglia, where in Bari she met Savino Petrone, the man who would become her lifelong companion—a businessman and entrepreneur. Together, they emigrated to Brazil, where they lived for six years before returning to Italy, settling once again in Puglia. In 1945, she finally returned to her native Castelfranco.
At the age of 112, reports described her health as excellent; she remained lucid and was still able to speak a few words.
Angela Case passed away in Castelfranco Veneto, on 17 August 2011, at the age of 112 years, 27 days.
Case’s age was validated by the European Supercentenarian Organisation (ESO) on 17 August 2025.
