Andrée Aline Léonie Besnier (née Poucet) was a French supercentenarian.

BIOGRAPHY

Andrée Besnier was born in the commune of Aubenton in the department of Aisne in the Hauts-de-France region of northern France, on 17 August 1906. She was the eldest of four children.

She left Aisne during the First World War and relocated to Vendée. Later, she moved to Charleville, where she worked as an employee at the Crédit Lyonnais bank. She married at the age of 50, had no children, and eventually settled in Paris.

In November 2010, she moved to the Manchester Health Center’s Long-Term Care Unit (ULSD) in Charleville-Mézières.

Andrée Besnier passed away in Charleville-Mézières, on 14 January 2017, at the age of 110 years, 150 days.

RECOGNITION

Her age was validated by the European Supercentenarian Organisation (ESO). This validation is yet to be recognized by LongeviQuest.
