Ana del Valle del Valle was a Spanish supercentenarian who was one of the oldest living people in Spain, and also one of the world’s oldest known living COVID-19 survivors at the time of her death.
BIOGRAPHY
Ana del Valle del Valle was born in Ronda, Málaga, Andalusia, Spain on 20 October 1913. She was six years old when her older sister died from the Spanish flu. In her youth, she survived typhus. Ana del Valle worked in the fields and performed various tasks such as farming, sowing, reaping, and caring for livestock. Later, she worked as a dressmaker.
At some point, she got married and had four children, who would later give her four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Her husband died in 1996.
In April 2020, at the age of 106, she contracted COVID-19 during the coronavirus pandemic. However, she successfully recovered, becoming one of the oldest known survivors of the virus.
Ana del Valle passed away on 8 June 2026 in a nursing home in Alcalá del Valle, Cádiz, Andalusia, Spain, at the age of 112 years, 231 days.
