BIOGRAPHY
Alma Marie Kam was born on 27 November 1913. She moved to California, before meeting her husband. They married in Reno, Nevada, and moved around the western USA from California to Portland and Spokane. They finally moved to Seattle in 1945. where they established their family home and ran a family bakery, Carolyn’s Cakes Bakery, for 52 years. Their local church and their children’s school were all located within an eight-block radius. She had four children, and at 104, she had seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Kam passed away on 9 April 2026 in Seattle, Washington, USA, at the age of 112.
RECOGNITION
On 22 April 2024, following the passing of 110-year-old Dorothy Reed, she became the oldest living person in the U.S. state of Michigan, at the age of 110 years, 147 days.
