Alice Ducat passed away in Hythe, Kent, England, on 22 December 2017, at the age of 112 years, 228 days.
RECOGNITION
Following the passing of 109-year-old Ruby May Oakley (27 November 1903 – 7 February 2013) of Bearsted, she became the oldest known living person in Kent. Upon her own passing, she was succeeded by Gwen Payne.
At the time of her passing, she was the third-oldest living person in the United Kingdom, after Bessie Camm and Olive Boar.
Ducat’s age was verified by Dr. Andrew Holmes, and was validated by the European Supercentenarian Organisation (ESO) on 15 January 2020.
