BIOGRAPHY

Agustín Reyes Ortiz was born in Aguas Buenas, Puerto Rico, on 8 February 1887. He passed away on 6 November 1998, at the age of 111 years, 271 days.

RECOGNITION

On 20 June 1998, he surpassed the final age of Pedro Zorrilla Caballero, becoming the oldest (validated) man to have ever died in Puerto Rico, at the age of 111 years, 132 days. He held the title until 20 May 2003, when Emiliano Mercado del Toro surpassed his final age.

His age was verified by an anonymous researcher and Daniel Gonik, and validated by LongeviQuest on 27 August 2024.
