Adelaida González Hernández was a Spanish supercentenarian.
Adelaida González Hernández was born in the village of Las Veguillas in the province of Salamanca Castile and León, Spain, on 13 April 1907. She lost her mother to the Spanish flu epidemic when she was just eight years old. Three years later, she also lost her father. She married at some point and had three daughters: Adela, Rosario and Asuncion.
In 2013, following an infection, she experienced a loss of mobility and hearing, which forced her to stop her daily walks through the town’s streets—something she had enjoyed regularly. From then on, she used a wheelchair to move around her home.
Adelaida González Hernández passed away in San Pedro de Rozados, Castile and León, Spain, on 23 June 2018, at the age of 111 years, 71 days. She was survived by her three daughters, six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
Her age has not been validated.
