Adela Leguina Torre passed away in Santander, Cantabria, Spain, on 12 March 2013, at the age of 110 years, 110 days. She was survived by many nieces and nephews.
RECOGNITION
In November 2012, she celebrated her 110th birthday, becoming the first known supercentenarian in the province of Cantabria. She held the title of the province’s oldest person ever until 22 June 2024, when Rosario Soto surpassed her final age.
