BIOGRAPHY

Tsuruji Mitsui was born in Japan on 1 January 1913. Her husband was a kimono dyer, and she worked as a kimono peddler. After turning 100, she followed a healthy, plant-based diet.

Tsuruji Mitsui passed away in Minami-Alps, Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan, on 16 August 2023, at the age of 110 years, 227 days.

RECOGNITION

Her age was verified by Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour, and Welfare (MHLW), as well as Takehiro Shibuya, Bogdan Solyanikov, and Yumi Yamamoto, and validated by LongeviQuest on 13 September 2023.
