BIOGRAPHY

Hiro Fujisaku was born in Japan on 6 May 1911.

Despite being over 100 years old, she continued to work hard in the fields and took great pleasure in tending to her home garden. On September 4, 2011, the mayor of Hitachinaka City paid a visit to her residence to celebrate her age. When asked about her secret to longevity, she said, “I like plain food and have been on a vegetable and fish-based diet.”

Hiro Fujisaku passed away in Hitachinaka, Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan, on 30 November 2022, at the age of 111 years, 208 days.

RECOGNITION

Her age was verified by Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour, and Welfare (MHLW), as well as Yu Li and Yumi Yamamoto, and validated by LongeviQuest on 1 September 2023.
