Gabrielle Marie Valentine des Robert was a validated French supercentenarian.
Gabrielle des Robert was born in the commune of Saint-Mihiel in the Meuse department in the Grand Est region in Northeastern France, on 4 June 1904. Her parents were Paul des Robert (1876–1946) and Marie-Hélène Delherm de Novital (1881–1974). She had six siblings: Marie-Antoinette (1903–1999), Henri Jean (1905–1952), Yvonne (1907–2006), Pierre (1909–1983), Anne Marie Nicole (1913–2008), and Jacques (born 1916).
She spent nearly her entire life in Nantes, arriving there in 1912 at the age of eight after a childhood in the Ardennes. Over the years, she worked as a nurse with the Red Cross during the Second World War, served as a summer camp director, and later continued her career in nursing. She lived with her parents and two of her sisters, both of whom remained single. She never married and had no children.
Gabrielle des Robert passed away in Nantes, on 3 December 2018, at the age of 114 years, 182 days.
Following the passing of Honorine Rondello on 19 October 2017, Gabrielle des Robert became the second-oldest resident of France, only after Lucile Randon.
Her age was verified by the members of Les Grands Centenaires Français, and validated by the European Supercentenarian Organisation (ESO) on 16 January 2020.
