Gawłowska was born in Cieszyn, a town in Cieszyn County, Silesia (then Austria-Hungary) on 6 June 1913. In 1936, at the age of 23, she married Rudolf Gawłowski and later gave birth to a son and a daughter, Urszula. In 1947, she and her family moved to the town of Czerwionka-Leszczyny, Silesia.
As a centenarian, she enjoyed solving crossword puzzles. At the time of her death, she had one grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Gawłowska passed away in Czerwionka-Leszczyny, Silesia Voivodeship, on 19 July 2024, at the age of 111 years, 43 days.
Gawłowska has been reported in several Polish media outlets on her 107th, 109th, and 110th birthdays.
At the time of her passing, she was the second-oldest (known) living person in Poland, following Jadwiga Żak-Stewart.
