Shizu Narita (Japanese: 成田しず) was a Japanese supercentenarian whose age has been validated by LongeviQuest. At the time of death, she was the oldest living person in Aichi Prefecture.

BIOGRAPHY

Shizu Narita was born in Japan on 17 August 1910.

Shizu Narita passed away of natural causes in Tokoname, Aichi Prefecture, Japan on 2 March 2023 at the age of 112.

RECOGNITION

In September 2015, she was reported as the oldest living person in the city of Tokoname.

On 14 August 2022, following the death of 112-year-old Kiku Hori, she became the oldest living person in Aichi Prefecture.

Following her death, Mine Kondo became the new oldest living person in Aichi Prefecture.

Her age was verified by Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour, and Welfare (MHLW), as well as Yu Li, and validated by LongeviQuest on 3 June 2023.
