Mary Euodia “Odie” Stanley (née Holloway) was an American supercentenarian.

BIOGRAPHY

Mary Stanley was born in Beaverdam, Virginia, USA, on 19 December 1914, to parents Jabez Payne Holloway and Mary Eliza Hall. She had five siblings, all of whom she outlived (Joe, Belle Satterwhite, Janie Morris, Verna Tyree, and Herbert).

At some point, she married Samuel Osborne “Billy” Stanley, and the couple had two daughters, Betty Overbey and Carolyn “ Kakie” Stanley. They were married for 67 years, until his passing on 16 February 2008, aged 85. She married in her hometown, where she and her husband went on to establish and operate several businesses, including S.O. Stanley Grocery and Meats, an auto repair shop, and Stanley Hauling.

Mary Stanley passed away in Richmond, Virginia, on 21 March 2026, at the age of 111 years, 92 days. She was survived by her two daughters, as well as two grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
