Marcelle Josserand was born in the commune of Précy-sous-Thil in the Côte-d’Or department in eastern France, on 9 July 1906.

Marcelle Josserand passed away in Semur-en-Auxois, Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, France, on 6 January 2017, at the age of 110 years, 181 days.
