Léonise Sinzélé (née Nijean) is a French supercentenarian from the overseas department of Martinique.

BIOGRAPHY

Léonise Sinzélé was born in Les Anses-d’Arlet, Martinique, France, on 15 March 1915. She was a bèlè dancer. At some point, she married and had seven children.

In December 2019, Léonise attended the inaugural gathering of Martinican centenarians at Fort Saint-Louis. In 2023, she was also present for the certification of the “Blue Zones” title.

On her 110th birthday, she was joined by her daughter Juliette, her son Georges, and her grandson François to celebrate the special occasion. At the time, she also had a 102-year-old sister living nearby.
