BIOGRAPHY

Antonina Partyka was born in Komaszyce, Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, Poland, on 22 September 1908. In 1953, she relocated to Bojadła, where she would spend the remainder of her life. The move was prompted by plans to build a military training ground in her previous village. While the men from the village chose Bojadła as their new home, she admitted she was unsure of their reasons. She spent her entire life working on the farm.

Her husband passed away around 1995. While she never smoked, he was fond of cigarettes and smoked frequently, which always annoyed her.

When asked about her diet and her secret of longevity, she explained that she didn’t follow any particular regimen—she simply ate whatever was provided. She enjoyed chicken wings and vegetables, emphasizing that the key was ensuring the food wasn’t too fatty. Her daughter, Czesława, reflected, “I don’t know how my mother lived to such an age because, from what I remember, she was often ill and spent a lot of time in bed.”

Antonina Partyka passed away in Bojadła, Lubusz Voivodeship, on 17 November 2020, at the age of 112 years, 56 days.

RECOGNITION

At the time of her passing, she was the second-oldest living person in Poland, after Tekla Juniewicz.

Her age has not been validated.
