Paule Louise Izart was a French supercentenarian.

BIOGRAPHY

Paule Izart was born in Constantine, Constantine Province, Algeria, on 22 October 1912. She worked as a teacher and later as a school principal. Additionally, she volunteered for nearly 40 years with the Saint-Vincent de Paul Association.

In October 2022, she celebrated her 110th birthday surrounded by family, fellow residents, and staff at the nursing home in Orleix. For the occasion, the choir “La Clef des Chants” performed, and the mayor, Guillaume Rossic, along with his deputy, were in attendance. Prior to the celebration, she even gave a special lesson at a local school, writing on the board: “How to live well until 110 years old.”

Paule Izart passed away in Orleix, Hautes-Pyrénées, Occitania, France, on 7 July 2023, at the age of 110 years, 258 days.
