BIOGRAPHY

Leggett was born in Clerkenwell, London, England, on 25 July 1914. After working for St John Ambulance in London during the Second World War, Hilda was evacuated to Shropshire, where she and her husband had their only son, Andy.

Leggett lived independently until the age of 107, when she moved into a care home.

Hilda Leggett passed away in Abbots Leigh, Somerset, England, on 12 February 2025, at the age of 110 years, 202 days.
