Margaret Cameron was born in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada on 9 February 1914. In 1938, at the age of 24, she got married to Ross Cameron.
At some point, she moved into a nursing home in Kelowna, where she’s famous for her playful catchphrases like “fit as a fiddle and ready for love,” “I’m off to chase the boys,” and “Where’s the giggle juice?” On her 103rd birthday, when asked about her secret to a long life, she replied, “I was always busy and kept out of mischief most of the time.” Cameron received her COVID-19 vaccination in January 2021.
Cameron is currently the second-oldest (known) living person in British Columbia, after Flora Wallin.
