Rosa Matamoros was born in Quezaltepeque, La Libertad Department, El Salvador, on 2 November 1915. She had 8 children.
As of her 105th birthday, she had 56 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Rosa Matamoros de Cubas passed away in Santo Tomás, San Salvador Department, on 2 February 2026, at the age of 110 years, 92 days.
RECOGNITION
At the time of her passing, she was one of the oldest living people in El Salvador.
