Berthe Joséphine Mourey (née Boiteux) was a French supercentenarian. Her age has been validated by the European Supercentenarian Organisation (ESO) and recognised by LongeviQuest.
Berthe Mourey was born in the commune of Perrigny-sur-l’Ognon in the Côte-d’Or department in eastern France, on 21 November 1902.
On 21 February 21, 1925, at the age of 22, she married Auguste Mourey, with whom she had two children. She was widowed in 1931. By the time she reached the age of 110, her family had grown to include two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. On her 110th birthday, she celebrated by sharing a glass of champagne with her loved ones.
Berthe Mourey passed away in Dijon in the Côte-d’Or department, on 10 March 2013, at the age of 110 years, 109 days.
Mourey’s age was verified by Cyril Depoudent (Les Grands Centenaires Français), and was validated by the ESO on 30 January 2020.
