It is with a heavy heart for LongeviQuest to share that Herbert Wolding passed away at 111 years old. He was an American supercentenarian known as the oldest living man in Wisconsin at the time of his death.

Mr. Wolding founded H.O. Wolding Inc. in 1935 where he started a single-man milk route and made it grow into a large dry van truckload company with more than 320 trucks today. Trucking news platform, CDLLife, reported Herbert’s passing last week.

LongeviQuest also confirmed that Herbert Wolding passed away on 17 November 2023 at the age of 111 years old. At the time of his death, he was oldest-validated living man in Wisconsin and in the whole United States.

Born on 15 October 1912, Herbert was born to Norwegian parents and had at least one brother. He attended Amherst High School until eighth grade but never graduated. He left school to assist his family with their business.

He recently celebrated his 111th birthday in Portgage, Wisconsin, USA, on 15 October 2023. Unfortunately, Mr. Wolding passed away last week, 17 November 2023 in Nelsonville, Wisconsin, USA.

He is an American supercentenarian known as the oldest living man in Wisconsin, USA, and also one of the oldest known living men in the whole country.

Herbert Wolding was born on 15 October 1912 in Portage, Wisconsin, USA.

Mr. Wolding attended Amherst High School, unfortunately, he never graduated past eighth grade. This is because he went to help his family with their business.

He married Evelyn (née Henke) Wolding and the couple had two sons together.

During the Great Depression in 1935, Mr. Wolding founded a single-truck logistics company that delivers milk in Nelsonville, Wisconsin. The operation grew into a company now known as H.O. Wolding, Inc. with headquarters located at a larger facility in Amherst, Wisconsin.

LongeviQuest is pleased to announce the age validation of Rose Thayer of the United States at age 110. She was born in Dakota, Minnesota, United States on 1 September 1905. She was a wife and a mother to 2 sons.

Thayer lived with her son from 1984 until 2012. At the age of 83, she moved to a nursing home in Jefferson, Wisconsin, where she enjoyed playing bingo, church services, baking, going for walks outdoors, and phone calls and visits from her family. At the time of her 110th birthday in 2015, she credited her longevity to “God, who has the plan,” as well as eating sunflower seeds.

Rose Thayer died in Jefferson, Wisconsin, on 16 August 2016 at the age of 110 years, 350 days.

LongeviQuest is pleased to announce the age validation of Louisa Froehlich of the United States at age 110. She was born in Washington, Eau Claire County, Wisconsin, United States on 18 September 1864. She was the daughter of Prussian immigrants. Froehlich was also a wife and a mother to 2 children.

Froehlich started receiving Social Security payments in 1943 and donated the money to various charities. In September 1974, she became the second documented supercentenarian in the U.S. state of Wisconsin, only after the very first known supercentenarian in the United States, Louisa Thiers (1814–1926), and the first known supercentenarian to have been born in Wisconsin.

Froehlich died in Milwaukee, Wisconsin’s capital city, on 16 April 1975 at the age of 110 years, 210 days. Froehlich was the oldest living person in Wisconsin for an unknown amount of time.

LongeviQuest is glad to announce the addition of Anna Traxler to our ever-growing directory of supercentenarians. Her British-born American supercentenarian status was validated by the European Supercentenarian Organisation (ESO) on 29 August 2023.

Anna Traxler was born on 4 January 1893 in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England, United Kingdom.

At some point in her life, she migrated to the United States where she married Isadore Traxler (1892-1981). The couple then had two children: Jane Klitsner and Dr. Jerome Jack Traxler.

Traxler passed away on 21 April 2003 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA. She was 110 years and 107 days old at the time of her death.

LongeviQuest is delighted to announce the validation of Wisconsin’s second-oldest living woman at 110. M.L. is an anonymous American supercentenarian born in the United States on 14 January 1913.

This lady is currently living in the state of Wisconsin, where she is considered as the third-oldest living person after Ruth Stryzewski and Herbert Wolding. She is also the second-oldest living woman in the state after Stryzewski.

LongeviQuest has validated the age claim of Rose Mary “Thea” Theissen of Minnesota, United States.

She was born in Breckenridge, Minnesota, USA on 28 December 1907, and passed away in Merrill, Wisconsin, USA on 23 May 2018 at the age of 110 years old. She was the third of four children of German parents. She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church in Merrill.

After graduating from Breckenridge High School, she continued her education at the State School of Science in Wahpeton, North Dakota. In 1929, she married Elmer Theissen, a pharmacist. They moved to Fort Madison, Iowa, where they bought the Ford Hopkins Drug Store and renamed it to Theissen Rexall Drug. Her husband passed away in 1991.

On her death, she was survived by her three daughters, 13 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
