Alice Fischer was a validated American supercentenarian who died in 2016 at the age of 110. At the time of her passing, she was the third-oldest known living person in the U.S. state of Massachusetts (after Goldie Michelson and Caroline Thiesing).

Alice Fischer was born in Manchester, New Hampshire, USA, on 23 December 1905. As a young girl, Fischer loved ice cream parlors, silent film serials like “The Perils of Pauline,” and dancing the fox-trot. As a teen, she moved to Fall River where she worked at a candy counter while studying at the School of Commerce.

Married life took Fischer to a farm in Westford, where she raised a son with her husband. After his passing, she remarried and balanced work as a school secretary, aircraft company personnel, and pharmacy bookkeeper until retiring at 85. She was also an active member of her church. In 2012, she moved to a nursing home, where her sharp memory remained despite declining vision and hearing at 108.
