LongeviQuest is pleased to announce the age validation of Chiyo Awa at 111 years old. She was a Japanese supercentenarian recognized as the oldest living woman in Kyoto Prefecture at the time of her death.
Chiyo Awa was born on 15 May 1898 in Japan.

She became the oldest living person in Maizuru City, Kyoto Prefecture. Between September 2007 and September 2009, Chiyo Awa was annually recognized and reported to be the second-oldest person in Kyoto Prefecture.
Chiyo Awa passed away on 30 November 2009 in Maizuru, Kyoto Prefecture. Japan. She was 111 years old when she died due to chronic respiratory failure.

LongeviQuest is pleased to announce the age validation of Harue Kyūma of Japan at age 111. She was born in Ayabe, Kyoto Prefecture, Japan on 4 January 1909.

According to her family, she was known for her hard work and stamina. She worked in the fields day in and day out, and she never seemed to tire. She was also remarkably healthy, and she never had a serious illness. Even in her middle age, she would walk long distances without difficulty.
Harue Kyūma passed away in Obatacho District, Ayabe, Kyoto Prefecture, Japan, on 10 October 2020, at the age of 111. At the time of death, she was the oldest living person in Kyoto Prefecture.
