Esther was born on 17 August 1871 in Edgerton, Johnson County, Kansas, USA. In 1873, her family relocated to Stockton, Utah, while she attended St. Mary’s Academy in Salt Lake City.

She was married to William Pym Mitchener on 30 June 1897 in Tooele, Utah. The two of them only had a daughter named Marcella who later on worked for.

When talking about longevity, she would start “I just think the Lord has bestowed upon me more than my share of excellent health.” At that time, they also had a quick meeting where the officers reported that Esther never had a chance to smoke and that she was a light speaker.

Esther passed away on 13 April 1983 in Seattle, Washington, USA. At the time of her death, she became the oldest living person in Washington.

LongeviQuest is pleased to announce the age validation of Mabel Hyde of the United States at age 111. She was born in Gallipolis, Gallia County, Ohio, United States on 23 April 1864. In her youth, she lived in Illinois and Kansas. Hyde was a wife and a mother to 3 sons. Their family was among the first non-Native American settlers of the Oklahoma Territory upon its opening in 1889.

When Hyde was older, she moved to Fresno, California. She still enjoyed salmon fishing in the Sacramento River at the age of 99. And as a centenarian, she was a big fan of the San Francisco Giants baseball team. Hyde may have become California’s oldest resident following the death of 111-year-old Ettie Crist on 10 January 1974.

Hyde died in Fresno, Fresno County, California, United States on 13 August 1975 at the age of 111 years, 112 days. At the time of death, Hyde was the second-oldest known person in the United States and the third-oldest known in the world, after Mary Bittlebrun and Niwa Kawamoto of Japan.

It is with great delight for LongeviQuest to announce the age validation of Revah Stokes at 110 years old. She was an American supercentenarian recognized as one of the oldest living residents of Kansas at the time of her death.

She was born as Revah Leon Hafer on 26 July 1911 (claimed to be 23 July 1911) in Alliance, Nebraska, USA. Revah had at least four siblings younger than her. Her family moved from place to place as her father would buy stores to renovate and then sell them for a living. In 1919, she went under a medical operation on a dining room table to remove her appendix.

Revah married Glenn L. Stokes (1913-1974) in West Plains, Missouri, on 4 January 1931. The couple then had three children together. She worked as a switchboard operator at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company in Missouri for a span of 20 years.

In 1985, Stokes moved to Salina, Kansas, and lived and stayed there until she passed away on 12 November 2021 at the age of 110 years old.

It is with great delight to announce the age validation of Kitty Harvey. She was an American supercentenarian born on 12 January 1860 in Elizabethtown, Hamilton County, Ohio, United States. Her age was validated to be 112 years old and that makes her the oldest person in the world at the time of her death.

She married William L. Harvey in Minneapolis, Ottawa County, Kansas in 1879 just after a year when she moved to the area. The couple had a son who later became a prominent physician in Minneapolis.

The family move again to Oklahoma in the 1880s where her husband served as clerk of the court. William died of Malaria on 5 September 1900 at 53 years old, so Kitty and her son returned to Minneapolis to live with her mother.

Harvey passed away in Minneapolis, Kansas, USA on 10 July 1972, when she was already 112 years and 180 days old.
