LongeviQuest is delighted to announce the age validation of Maria Rosa de Faria Guimarães at age 112. She was a Brazilian supercentenarian born on 21 April 1893 in Biguaçu, Santa Catarina, Brazil.

At some point in her life, she got married to someone with whom she had nine children with.

Maria Rosa de Faria Guimarães passed away on 29 September 2005 in Biguaçu, Santa Catarina, Brazil. At the time of her death, she was 112 years old and was survived by 47 grandchildren, 63 great-grandchildren, and 68 great-great-grandchildren.

LongeviQuest is pleased to announce the age validation of Maria Paschoalina De Castro of Brazil at age 112. She was born in Conceição do Rio Verde, Minas Gerais, Brazil on 2 May 1911. She is of Native American descent. Maria Paschoalina De Castro was a sister to 3 siblings, a wife, and a mother to 13 children.

Even at 97 years old, Maria Paschoalina de Castro was still able to do household chores like washing clothes, cooking, and washing dishes. She is a devout Catholic with a strong devotion to Nossa Senhora Aparecida. At 107 years old, she had five living children, 22 grandchildren, and an unspecified number of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Her relatives and friends call her “la.”

LongeviQuest is pleased to announce the age validation of Olga De Souza Caldas of Brazil at age 110. She was a Brazilian supercentenarian whose validation by the Latin American Supercentenarians (LAS) was on pending status since 2021. Her age was validated by LongeviQuest on 3 September 2023.

Olga de Souza Caldas was born in Rio de Janeiro City, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on 24 September 1911. In her 30s, she got married and moved to the city of São Gonçalo. She had three children. Until she got older, she would regularly attend church in São Gonçalo. As of 2019, only one of her children was still living; Maurício Antonio Caldas, aged 75.

Gonçalves passed away in São Paulo, São Paulo, Brazil on 21 August 2023 at 111 years, 302 days. She became the oldest living Portuguese-born person following the death of 113-year-old Maria da Encarnação Nunes de Sousa on 20 July 2022.

It is with a heavy heart that LongeviQuest announces the passing of Noemia Vieira de Souza, who held the title of the oldest documented living individual in the Brazilian state of Rio de Janeiro. Mrs. Vieira de Souza peacefully departed from this world on August 26, 2023, at the age of 111.

Noemia Vieira de Souza was born on April 6, 1912, in Duas Barras, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She married Manoel Luiz de Souza, and the couple had 8 children.  This Rio de Janeiro resident had 21 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren.

In June 2023, with the invaluable assistance of her granddaughter Iara, LongeviQuest successfully verified her birthdate, thereby bestowing official recognition upon her as one of Brazil’s oldest living individuals. With a final age of 111 years and 142 days, she held the distinction of being the oldest known Rio de Janeiro resident.
